Iron Man Anime Episode 1

Finaly I found the first episode, enjoy it ;D;
Part 1

Part 2

. -

I discovered the first episode of Madhouse Studios' Iron Man anime series on Youtube. While the premiere isn't groundbreaking, it's not a disaster. What happens? Tony Stark heads to Japan, acts like a horndog, and wrangles a scorpion mecha.

It's hard to fault the first episode of Iron Man for lollygagging a little bit — the episode establishes that we're dealing with the movie incarnation of Tony Stark. Indeed, there's no mention of the Avengers or other Marvel heroes. Pepper Potts does cameo, but that's it. This is the Robert Downey Jr. take on Tony Stark, right down to the arrogance, ARC reactors, and unabashed mimboness. We meet two comely female characters (Dr. Tanaka and clumsy reporter Nanami), and Tony-san strikes out with both of them. He also get slapped once. Oh Tony, you salacious card.

Also, a lot of the dialog focuses on Tony's concern about his public image in Japan. He's self-conscious about his reputation as a brash gaijin playboy but doesn't do anything to dissuade his critics. Indeed, Tony accidentally wipes out a good chunk of highway when his Iron Man suit malfunctions at an impromptu air show. Is Tony contrite? Naaah.

Stark's visiting Japan to oversee the production of an arc reactor and test a new non-military Iron Man armor, Iron Man Dio. Of course, Dio malfunctions and goes on a rampage. Tony dispatches Dio and is next attacked by a mecha version of Scorpio from the Zodiac, Marvel's premiere astrology-inspired supervillain squad (they've historically looked like this). After dispatching Scorpio, Tony tables his retirement plans — the show will have 12 episodes, so I'm betting we see one foe an episode. C'mon, Sagittarius

All in all, Iron Man isn't bad — there are some handsome sequences and the armor looks quite regal as anime — but overall the script feels clunky. Warren Ellis has mentioned that his outlines for the show were rewritten, but I was holding out for a least a smidge of gonzo science pop. In a medium dominated by robots fighting, Iron Manime needs something to stand out. Sadly, the show never really evinces what makes the man in the tin can so special.
Iron Man will debut on G4 in 2011. It's presently airing on Animax in Japan.

New Berserk Anime Teasers Online

The homepage for Kentarou Miura’s Berserk manga has begun streaming two of the five new anime teaser trailer narrated by singer/actor Gackt. The precise format of the new Berserk production – TV, OVA, movie – has not been revealed yet.
The CG footage of Zod in the second teaser looksa bit stiff, but there’s a good chance that the footage on display was actually produced two years ago and may not reflect the production quality of the project in its current status.

Yuri Seijin Naoko-san manga will get an anime!

This surreal, experimental comedy manga by kashmir is about a girl named Misuzu, whose older sister, Naoko, returned from studying abroad, just to find out that she's been substituted (?) with Naoko-san, an alien from planet Yuri-sei (Lesbian planet), who loves eroticism, yuri and girls.

The series started being published in Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh in 2005 and its second volume was published in 2008. Now ASCII Media Works' Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine announced that its anime adaptation is currently in the works.
Yes, I think this Japanese TRON: LEGACY poster does the trick:

Um…just…amazing live action Pokemon fan trailer. Here’s the synopsis:
Celadon City hasn’t been the same since the Gyms closed down. Pokémon fighting has gone underground, and the sport has gotten a taste for blood. Ash, Misty, and Brock have been forced deep into the city’s seedy underbelly to keep training, but the Pokémon aren’t the only ones in danger. Now, Ash must choose to either become a master in the grim world of illegal pokémon fighting, or make a desperate stand to free them all from the criminal grip of Rocket Industries.

Kodomo no Jikan 3rd Anime Announced [Update]

Not that there was any doubt about the eventual return of the Kojikan Lolis, but an official confirmation of our most burning desires is always nice. And so, Kodomo no Jikan will indeed make a comeback in anime form, in a yet to be disclosed format and timeframe.

The joyous news is brought by the cover of the ongoing manga's 8th volume, whose wraparound jacket is announcing said anime sequel of unknown shape and size. The original manga is also known as Nymphet, and it's written and illustrated by female mangaka Kaworu Watashiya.

Since there are no details about this 3rd Kodomo no Jikan anime at this time, the least we can offer you is a local gallery update
 - enjoy!
Update: A brand spanking new report picked up by ANN tonight reveals that the new Kojikan anime will be an OVA, bundled with limited editions of the manga's 9th volume - out in Japan in January 2011 (the wait will be a killer!). Pictured in that report are some manga frames from Volume 8, rather unsafe for work and deliciously perverted, as usual.

The November issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine is announcing on Monday that Jigoku no Misawa's Kakko-Kawaii Sengen! gag comedy manga is being adapted into four television anime shorts. The weekly shorts will run duringShueisha's Saki-yomi Jum-Bang! television program starting on November 5.
The original manga launched in Jump Square this year, and one compiled book volume has been published.
Rose of Versailles creator Riyoko Ikeda is presently appearing as a guest of honor at Italy's Romics 2010 anime convention from September 30 to October 2 in Rome. At a kick-off event last evening at the Piazza del Popolo, Ikeda joined other cosplayers dressed as Marie Antoinette, a primary character in The Rose of Versailles.
Ikeda is a member of the "Year 24 Flower Group" consisting of female manga creators who revolutionized the shōjo manga genre, including Moto Hagio, Keiko Tanemiya, and others. (The group is named after the year 24 of the Showa era, 1949.) The Rose of Versailles manga launched in 1972 and spawned a television anime and a live-action movie. The series has proved popular in Europe, and Ikeda was awarded France's Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur, the nation's highest honor, in 2009. Both the anime and manga are unlicensed in North America, although Frederik L. Schodt translated the first two volumes for Sanyusha.
Sensual Phrase creator Mayu Shinjo recently tweeted a link to a photo of her own cosplay, as protagonist Yui Hirasawa from kakifly's manga K-ON! In the tweet, Shinjo expresses excitement about the costume, "even though the guitar is different."
Shinjo debuted as a shōjo manga creator in 1994 with a series called Make Love shiyo!! Her 1997 series Sensual Phrase (Kaikan Phrase) was translated into English by Viz Media, as was her later work Haou Airen. Shinjo has also had many works published in German by Egmont Anime + Manga.

Update: Viz has not released Haou Airen in North America. Thanks, brand.
